Catering Manager
Reporting to the General Manager
The Catering Manager shall:
  • Develop strategies to enhance operational performance of the organization’s staff catering units.
  • Develop catering budgets and achieve quantifiable cost savings through documented efficiency plans.
  • Manage procurement for the catering department and control catering inventory.
  • Determine the optimal workforce, advice on recruitment of personnel for the catering department.
  • Develop and execute staff performance reviews, identify capacity gaps and develop training programs to bridge those gaps.
Qualifications, skills and Competencies required:
  • Be a holder of a diploma in hotel management or F&B service advanced certificate from Kenya Utalii College.
  • Be a qualified chef.
  • Be certified in accountancy.
  • Have a minimum of Three (3) years experience in a similar position.
  • Have a good command of computer applications.
  • A hospitality degree from a recognized university will be an added advantage.
Senior Receptionist
Reporting to the General Manager
The Receptionist shall:
  • Maintain high standards of customer service at the reception by ensuring all enquires are responded to in a courteous and timely manner and all visitors are treated with great respect.
  • Supervise receptionists and cleaners within the reception area.
Qualifications, skills and Competencies required:

The Warehouse and Distribution Manager shall:
  • Develop, revise and implement operational policies in line with legal requirements and business objectives.
  • Reduce internal working capital held in stocks by reducing the lead time, working with suppliers to improve reliability and thereafter reduce inventory.
  • Provide customer focus and improve Customer service levels.
  • Continually optimize inbound and outbound Logistics costs.
  • Optimize cost base of sourced materials by challenging the status looking at alternative modes of operations.
  • Drive continuous departmental improvements through optimization of team effectiveness and efficiencies of procedures and processes.
Qualifications, skills and Competencies required:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supplies and an Advanced Diploma in supplies management from a recognized institution.
  • Be a registered member of the Kenya Institute of Supply Management.
  • Have a served as a senior Warehouse/Store Manager of reputable organization dealing in FMCG for a minimum of Five (5) years.
  • A high level of integrity, good analytical and report writing skills
  • Have strong management and organizational skills
  • Be proficient in computer applications

TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is an organisation funded by a range of development agencies to promote regional trade and economic integration in East Africa.
TMEA works closely with the East African Community (EAC), national governments, business and civil society organisations.
Headquartered in Nairobi with branches in Arusha, Bujumbura, Dar es Salaam, Juba, Kampala and Kigali,
TMEA seeks to support East African integration through:
  • A reduction in transport and related costs along the key corridors in East Africa;
  • Supporting EAC institutions to develop a comprehensive framework for regional integration;
  • Supporting partner states to substantially increase the implementation of a comprehensive framework for regional integration; and
  • Engaging private sector and civil society to positively influence regional integration policies and practices for growth in trade.
To ensure that TMEA delivers on these strategic objectives, we seek to recruit a high calibre, results-oriented and self-driven Ugandan national to coordinate and manage our One Stop Border Post (OSBP) activities in Uganda.
One Stop Border Post (OSBP) Manager
The OSBP Manager will be responsible for coordinating OSBP activities in Uganda and ensuring the timely implementation of the OSBP programme in Uganda.
The OSBP Manager will also work closely with the OSBP lead Ministry and with the lead agencies responsible for overseeing construction projects on behalf of the Government of Uganda.
S/he will collaborate with the line manager, Uganda Country Team and with OSBP Managers in adjoining countries to effectively coordinate these activities.
This will include working with stakeholders to identify and resolve pre-construction and construction issues, and ensuring that all preparatory activities necessary to make the OSBPs operational are completed in a timely manner to facilitate immediate operationalisation of completed OSBPs.
Key areas of focus will include the legal, regulatory and institutional frameworks, procedures and processes, human resources and training, communication and information exchange, ICT infrastructure and equipment, information management and risk analysis, and enhancing integrity.
 We are looking for an individual who possesses high personal drive, political sensitivity, initiative and leadership.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree preferably in Economics, Law, International Trade or related discipline.
In addition, s/he must have at least seven years’ experience with a major border agency and a strong understanding of the roles of different border agencies at the border.
International experience will be an added advantage.
Demonstrable experience in trade and transport facilitation, customs procedures or freight logistics is essential.
Strong programme cycle management skills, proven ability in preparing terms of reference and project documents, and monitoring and evaluation skills are essential.
In addition, the role requires sound knowledge of the concept of OSBP.
